Mechanical engineer David Ng was inspired to create a wrist watch after attending an Arduino workshop hosted by the IEEE Women in Engineering's local chapter in Victoria, Australia. The watch, which takes up a significant amount of space on the forearm of the wearer, is made with both a 3D printed case and bracelet. Time is displayed by triggered LED lights when the user lifts her/his arm and dimmed again when lowered. Rather than creating something with the hopes of commercial gain, Ng worked on this creation, which includes an alcohol sensor for use near closing time, for the simple love of making.
