Apple's CUPS Version 2.1 Now Supports 3D Printing

Apple's open source CUPS printing system for Mac has just been updated and it means big things if you are a 3D printing enthusiast. Version 2.1 of the CUPS system has numerous additions and bug fixes, but most importantly to us is the fact that it will not support basic 3D printers. This means that the printing process will be streamlined for Mac users if your 3D printer is compatible. More info on just what this update may mean can be found here: http://3dprint.com/86220/apple-cups-3d-printer-support/

Let us know if you've downloaded CUPS version 2.1 and what your thoughts are. Does your 3D printer work with this update? Let us know.
