3D Printed Tools to Help You Better Understand Infill, & More

For those new to 3D printing, some of the jargon can be a bit confusing--what exactly are infill, supports, and shells? In a series of educational displays created for Sacramento's Arcade Library, Duncan Smith has provided visual aids to introduce these concepts. He's also made the designs available for download on Thingiverse so others can access them and use the teaching tools. The tools include an "Infill Percent Display," which shows infill percentages from 0-100%, a "Number of Shells Display" displaying 1-30 shells, and 3D printed cats that demonstrate examples of the use (or not) of rafts and supports in 3D printing. Check them out at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/82668/infill-shells-3d-printing/
