Jennifer Hoffman, who has worked as a professor of physics at Harvard University, has taken up a new position at the University of British Columbia (UBC) as the Canada Excellence Research Chair in quantum materials and devices based on oxide heterostructures. Hoffman will be exploring the concept of 3D printing tiny--atomic scale--objects, supported by two grants, one from the Canadian Government, one from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. The implications of her long-term studies could have significant impacts on the 3D printing space. Read about the efforts at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/79303/quantum-3d-printing/
