For those of you who can afford about $13,500, a new 3D printer has been unveiled by Allied Dimensions that can print up to 6 objects at once all using different extruders. At the same time, the printer can also be used to print just one large object, using the 6 different heads. This means multiple material printing is possible, as well as much faster print times by combining the use of multiple hotends. The 3D printer, itself measures 1120x1040x1230mm in dimensions and a weighs approximately 80 Kg. It had a build volume of 84x84x80cm, and the print heads are clamped onto the machine rather than screwed on. This makes the LSBP an extremely modular 3D printer.
