Students at Texas A&M in their first year of architectural school were given the exciting--and very challenging task--of showing that they could not only put digital designs into true form with 3D printed structures meant to highlight the Manhattan skyline, but also to learn about finding the balance between creativity and reality in architecture. The project was multi-tiered in its educational purposes as it educated in design and building, as well as showing what impacts 3D printing may have on the world of architecture.
