Instructables member iwillspy13 has done exactly what many of are dreaming of: 3D printing his own sneakers. Beginning with a plaster cast of his favorite old shoe, iwillspy13 then worked on the style as well as sketching many different looks before being able to render the work digitally. Once iwillspy13 was able to begin the 3D modeling, work became more complicated but after much work and editing he was able to 3D print the sneaker on his MakerBot Replicator 2 3D printer, showing off successful footwear as the final project for his Product Design class.
