e-NABLE, which recently was awarded a $600K Google Grant, has provided new details of their plans to use the grant money in order to further their impact. The organization, largely reliant upon volunteers, creates 3D printed prostheses--and is now hoping to enhance their processes, delivery, and reach with thanks to the grant. They will improve upon areas including self-service tools--like the Handomatic design tool--efficiency in production and delivery of the 3D printed prosthetic hands, and, among other goals, expanding to 6,000 new recipients for 3D printed prostheses over the next two years.
