3D Printable Modular Shelters For Disaster Aid
Antoine Proust, a student architect in the UK, has been working on a way to solve the challenges involved in refugee camps by employing 3D printed architecture. As his final master’s project, Proust suggests that with 3D printing, his ‘Modushelter’ idea could work as an affordable, durable, and portable solution in post-disaster housing. With digital design, refugees could be involved in the creation of the home and have the options of downgrading or upgrading due to family size or a move. well the main issue would be scaling it up to people size.
It also looks like an awful lot of bits and pieces in afairly large volume - compared to a sturdy tent.
But it's an idea :-)
