Xavier University has recently opened its Center for Innovation, which houses 31 MakerBot 3D printers, and it seems the campus is getting great use from this new center. Xavier just announced the winners and runners-up in it first "University of the Future Design Challenge" and the winners are all listed here. Ideas included a student deprivation tank to help recharge stressed out co-eds, a new soccer stadium design, and science classroom aids. We will certainly be seeing more designs from this campus which is a higher education leader in 3D printing technology. For a list of all the winners with images check out the following article:
