    SDcard compatability

    Hi I have just bought a 32mb micro sd card and adapter the card is a grade 10 card and when I put it in the printer it says it cannot recognise the card try formatting to fat 16 ? the card is currently fat 32 and on my pc I can only format fat, fat 32 or ntfs can anyone help with this, if not the card is not wasted as it works in my camera,

    Hi,

    I know 16Gb cards work fine, however I think the Makerbot firmware higher than 7.4 removes SD compatibility.

    Hi thanks for the info, I will stick with the firmware that is supplied as standard version1 it says , I would love to update but am worried about turning the printer into a huge doorstop lol.

    All our printers shipped with at least 7.2/7.3 firmware. There is no major improvements to the firmware after that.

    You will be fine with your version.
