    question on 3d pen strands

    Can i just make strands for the 3doodler 2.0 ,with just pliers or will that cause damage?

    You mean : make filament strands for the 3Doodler with filament taken from spools ? I was wondering too. The shipping from Singapore is a killer (delivery time AND cost) and I'm afraid to damage the machine as the KS forum shows that not everything is under control just yet.

    I wrote to Colorfab on that topic since they have very nice multicolor sample mix boxes that would be great in that scenario. They said it should work, but they have not shown anything done that way.

    So if anyone tries, I'd be glad to hear about it.

    Yes i am refering to the strands i can ask for the us patent # and research from there

    Update the 3doodler 2.0 is still patent pending acording to the official 3doodler i chatted with them on the fb messenger

    well I just use lengths from rolls for my pen.

    So yeah basically you can use any filament of the right diameter.

    The reason why i asked is on the 3doodler 2.0 is offically only authorised for abs and pla but for some reason it said on the manual that you can use wood so thats where i saw the side effection question thanks
