Emerging Objects 3D Prints Teapot from Tea and Salt Shaker form Salt

The team over at Emerging Objects has been making headlines with their unique 3D printed creations, from pavilions to columns to those using non-conventional materials. The company, founded by CEO Ronald Rael and CCO Virginia San Fratello, has just unveiled another impressive creation: a teapot. Based on the Utah (Newell) teapot design, Emerging Objects' tea set (including pot, teaspoons, and cups) was printed using a powder-based 3D printer using tea and sweetener as the materials. The tea-made tea set is an impressive piece that serves to show further uses of 3D printing in unexpected ways. Check out information and details behind the creative process over at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/65038/3d-printed-tea-pot-with-tea/

I think these are conceptual art projects, not meant to be functional.
