While military personnel may not be the first people you think of upon reflecting on the making community, SSG Bryan Enochs, a military sergeant living in Atlanta, Georgai, is a self-taught maker who has created an innovative original design. Enochs is a big fan of his two MakerBot Replicator 2 3D printers, and recently used them to create a truly impressive 3D printed carousel. Designed using an old, free version of Google SketchUp, the carousel uses mostly 3D printed parts, as well as an Arduino and some other powering components. The whole project was about two months of work that looks well worth it. Check out videos and more photos in the full article: http://3dprint.com/54995/3d-printed-carousel/
