Stratasys has announced that the new Airbus A350 XWB aircraft features a staggering 1,000 3D printed parts. This is an incredible accomplishment and just goes to prove how quickly 3D printing is making inroads into the manufacturing sector, especially that of aircraft manufacturing. Stratasys printed the parts using their ULTEM 9085 resin, which happens to be FST compliant, and Airbus has been able to reduce the overall weight of their plans while reducing manufacturing time and costs.
