3D printing and fashion are starting to become a formidable pairing, as demonstrated earlier this month at 3D Print Week NY's 3D printed fashion show. At the show was Scott Taylor, who with his wife, Sylvia Heisel, has recently taken to 3D printing--and he brought two designs to the show on behalf of MyMiniFactory. Taylor and Heisel call one of theses pieces the "Letter Dress," as it features letter cutouts in the dress' tiles that spell out quotes from Alan Kay (front: "The best way to predict the future is to invent it") and Steve Jobs (back: "Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do"). The tiles are similar in design, aside from the cutout letters, and connect by small metal keychain links; design files will be made available on MyMiniFactory.
