    Chrysler is Now Using 3D printing in an Interesting Way

    From their sprawling headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US designs, engineers, and manufactures brands like Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and FIAT. Now the company is using 3D printing to get a look inside what have traditionally been closed systems – automotive axle and pinion carriers. By printing see-through, plastic components which they use exclusively for testing purposes, this new method allows engineers to view and virtually analyze the fluid flow patterns inside axle systems.
