Washington, D.C.-based artist Emily Biondo enlisted tech and 3D printing company Amtek in helping her produce 3D printed interactive aids for her latest installation, "Headspace," which was recently exhibited at the Katzen Arts Center Alumni Exhibition in D.C. Biondo’s interactive installation involved visitors using headsets and handsets to listen to audio recordings--”millennial speak” translations from the original text of 18th- and 19th-century classics like Ivanhoe and Gulliver’s Travels. 3D printing technology from Stratasys allowed for the creation of several key components for the exhibit, and the use of ABSplus material ensured the pieces' durability for the much-manhandled interactive exhibit.
