US and Israeli researchers, from MIT and Technion, have successfully used a Stratasys Objet500 Connex to 3D print a body armor prototype that was inspired by fish scales. The new armor is composed of various sized and shaped scales that can be customized to the individual wearer’s body and their mission specific needs and requirements.
