3DSphere were tasked with building a full suit for client to use during a music and light show, and they began by modeling their vision in 3D to determine the construction methods and cost estimates for the piece. The main section of this helmet was printed with a Stratasys Fortus 400 mc, and the 3D printing took a full 12 hours to complete. The designers worked from a “very brief description” provided by their customer, and they took the time to consider how they would take on everything from ventilation issues to the layout of the electronics to the interior finish details.
