Printed Liquid Metal -- Coming Soon
I'm sure you all recall the liquid metal T-1000 robot from Terminator 2 back in the 90's. Is something like this possible? Well, according to research conducted by scientists at Purdue University, we may be one step closer. They have managed to find a way to print using an inkjet cartridge and liquid metal nanoparticles. The way the method works, which they call 'printing with mechanically sintered gallium-indium nanoparticles' is quite interesting and could lead to flexible electronics and wearables. More information on their research and this printing process can be found here: http://3dprint.com/56595/3d-print-liquid-metal
What do you guys think? Should we be fearful of T-1000's any time soon?
