3D printing company, Materialise is challenging makers across the globe to join them in an effort to provide high-quality, 3D-printed educational tools for classrooms. Their competition, “Calling All Makers” asks civic-minded makers to create Ideas Worth Making. IWM is Materialise’s education-specific online community where people submit ideas, suggesting 3D-printed models to be used in classrooms. Other community members submit 3D designs while others make those ideas materialize for teachers and students. The maker who wins the competition gets a MiiCraft+ DLP 3D printer.
