3D Printed Unbendable iPhone 6 Fortificase

For Sleaford, UK-based inventor Fred Diaz, “bendgate,” the controversy surrounding the vulnerability of the recently released (September 2014) iPhone 6, was not a source of disgruntlement but, rather, a moment of inspiration. He created a new iPhone 6 cover -- the Fortificase -- made from plastic and reinforced steel to protect the device when it is stowed in a pocket or purse. The flap that folds over the phone’s screen contains sleek-looking, wavy steel braces that keeps the phone rigid when the case is closed and moves away from the phone when it is in use so the metal does not interfere with radio signals and sensors. With a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo that runs through April 12th, Diaz is looking to raise funds to enable larger-scale production and marketing of the cases. Check out more details on the Fortificase in the full story: http://3dprint.com/55391/iphone-6-fo...ase-reinforce/
