Skiddle to Hand out 10,000 Free 3D Printed Boots to Music Goers

Music festivals are a huge happening each summer, as the UK's Skiddle.com well knows, as one of that country's largest primary ticketing agencies. In the UK, though, almost as prominent as great music at these festivals is rain and, along with it, mud -- which can quite literally dampen the spirits. This summer, though, Skiddle is planning to bring its bus along, with five MakerBot Z18 3D printers on board ready to create custom rain boots (wellingtons, or "wellies") for festivel-goers at major music festivals in northern areas of the UK. Details are still being worked out, but the plan is for wellies to be free for the first 10,000 customers. Skiddle plans to make each pair of boots in just 30 minutes, offering them only in bright yellow and using 3D printed ABS along with PVC.
