On the heels of last month's announcement of a partnership with Edmund Optics, Netherlands-based LUXeXcel has just announced a new collaboration with Lambda Research. The new partnership will bring together LUXeXcel's leadership in 3D printing optics-related materials and products with Lambda Research's TracePro illumination and optical design software. Together, the companies have already created a "high-quality, commercially viable" lens array in order to demonstrate their joint capabilities. The array, designed using Trace Pro's Texture Optimizer function and 3D printed by LUXeXcel, diffuses light across the array due to texture and depth variations. The partnership is intended to allow for "mass customization" of plastic optical components. Find out more details in the full article: http://3dprint.com/53733/luxexcel-lambda-partnership/
