Intel and 3D Systems Collaborate on 3DME and RealSense Apps

With the integration of Intel’s RealSense camera for PC’s, the Sense scanning app, and the 3D Systems 3DMe app, you can turn your home into a 3D printing selfie lab, customizing personal scans which are performed in about 15 seconds. With user friendly editing tools, you are able to make 3D printed figurines, insert your 3D images into virtual reality, and share on social media. More information of Intel and 3D System's collaboration on all of this can be found here: http://3dprint.com/53482/intel-3d-systems-3dme/

Well I don't give a crap about 3d selfies. But if the camera and software are affordable - then I'm very interested.
Thought it was going on tablets not laptops though. That makes it a lot more expensive :-(

Oh yeah none of the links from the article curently work.

Hmm, currently only works with windows 8.1 64bit. Possibly why the tablets aren't around yet.
