Exciting things are happening in the world of surgical training right now for students, and experienced surgeons as well, in Japan, as they are already practicing delicate procedures with realistic 3D printed organs about to go on the market in April from Japanese company, Fasotec, based in Chiba. The 3D printed Biotexture Wet Models are developed and engineered by the company and the finishing touches are put on the models by doctors so that the 3D printed shells are as lifelike as possible, with a wet, almost squishy texture that even ‘bleeds.’ More details on this story can be found here:
