Researchers have successfully merged the technology of 3D printing and biology again, but in very complex, microscopic research, forming microswimmers able to carry cargo, potentially within the human body. After a number of detailed experiments fashioning multiple different 3D printed vehicles to locomote within a living biological organism to carry and deliver cargo such as other cells, researchers found that it was possible to create the microswimmers and propel them in biological liquid, moving them with the contraction of cells. The studies thus far are paving the way for bio-robotics. Check out it in the full article: http://3dprint.com/41203/3d-printed-microswimmers/
