    Materialise Reports 2014 Quarter 4 Earnings, Announced New Material

    Materialise (NASDAQ:MTLS) has had a busy week, and this week at RapidPro they have announced a new 3D printable material and released their 4th quarter report for 2014. Materialise's new material offering is an aluminum alloy, ALSi10Mg, that offers light weight along with its strength and good thermal properties. The material will be used for prototyping and end-use production parts for aerospace and automation applications. The company's fourth quarter results show ongoing growth, including sales of software for 3D printers up 50.8% from the fourth quarter 2013 report.     There seems to be a lot of porosity in that piece. Pretty rough looking.

    I wonder how the cost of printing and finishing compares with the cost of casting?
