The second generation of the 3Doodler, the first 3D printing pen, has just been released with considerable fanfare--no less than a rocket launch! The inventor of the 3Doodler and now the 3Doodler 2.0, Pete Dilworth, decided to celebrate the launch of the new and improved 3Doodler by using it to make a model rocket. He based his 3Doodled rocket on the Apollo rocket and shared photographs and brief instructions for making the working rocket on 3Doodle’s blog site. The launch, which was a surprising success to Dilworth, was captured on video. He’ll be undertaking a subsequent launch as soon as he installs new engines in the craft.
