    Fusion3Design F306 printer skews layers

    Hi,

Whenever I seem to print a larger part or have longer print times, the printer seams to "jump" off track causing misalignments of consecutive layers, thus, destroying the print. (See pic).
Has there been anyone else experiencing this? What causes this? Can I do anything to avoid or remove it all together?

Skipped steps is a common issue on any printer. It can be from a number if reasons. Accelleraton too high, xy mivement speed too high. Parts curling or warping also over extrusion. The last two being an issue with the nozzle hitting the print

The issue with "jumps" was caused by the X-Y stepper motor spindle pulley set screw coming loose, thus, allowing the pulley to "slip" around on the motor shaft during a print session. A simple fix was to remove the set screw, realign the pulley to the motor spindle flat spot, and apply some lock tight to the set screw, and re-tighten. Have not see any issues since it was fixed.
