3D Printed Salt Igloo

This is a pretty darn impressive 3D Printing I would have to say. Actually it consists of 336 different 3d printings combined to form one large object. A San Francisco design studio called Emerging Objects is responsible for the this piece of work. It is a 3D Printed salt Igloo. In fact the salt comes direct from San Francisco Bay, and is combined with a glue like bonding agent to allow the printer to print these pieces. The goal of printing this igloo is to show that structures can be built cheaply using materials that most people would never have thought to use. Although such a structure likely isn't yet economically feasible, it soon may be. Check out some of the images of this igloo below:
