Illinois high school teacher Corben White first came to our attention last May, when he had his senior drafting students design and 3D print CO2 race cars -- and now he's at it again, and has told us about his latest 3D design and printing project. THE Printed Jelly Bean Dispenser, available for download now on Thingiverse, used an old wooden dispenser design that White had his students update using Autodesk Inventor. The full design took about 6 hours to print every part using White's Aluminum Mendel and his school's flexMendel 3D printers. Once printed and assembled, use of the dispenser is also easy and intuitive; put candy in top, turn the knob, and out pops the candy at the bottom. Check out the design process and White's classroom approach to catch and keep his students' attention in the full article: http://3dprint.com/43768/jelly-bean-dispenser/
