Louisiana native, Vinnie Savoy, college-educated and also self-taught draftsman, 3D designer and printer, has created a unique niche for himself in the area of historical building preservation. His company, Relentless Designs, took the original blueprints, site elevations and other architectural documents and combined them with his own detailed photographs and drawings to create a 3D-printed small-scale model of the Governor’s Mansion in Opelousas, Louisiana. The mansion, which is going through extensive renovation, has been preserved for posterity in a stunning, precisely detailed replica based on 3D designs by the multi-talented Savoy.
