Star Wars has long been one of the most popular entertainment empires, since the first movie debuted in 1977. Since then, it has only grown in popularity, including Star Wars Rebels, a CGI TV series set about 15 years after Revenge of the Sith. A young boy in Missoula, Montana wanted to be an AT-DP pilot as seen on this enjoyable show, and rather than just get his son a generic Storm Trooper helmet from the store, his dad, Jon Watson, decided to make him one using his Type A Machines Series 1 3D printer. He took about four days to design the helmet using Autodesk 3ds Max, and then the pieces took more than 100 hours to print out. Once it was printed, Watson post-processed it with primer, a little bit of sander, and paint to get the right color scheme. The helmet came out looking just right, and his son was able to wear his AT-DP pilot helmet with pride.
