NASA and GrabCAD team up for 3D Printing Space Challenge

The next time someone tells you that 3D printing isn’t exactly rocket science, you can correct them. NASA has issued a call for 3D printed Handrail Clamp Assemblies to be used on the International Space Station. The challenge, open until February 17, is hosted through GrabCAD and a jury of NASA and GrabCAD experts will review the submissions. The total prize offerings are $2,000 and the winner can imagine their design orbiting in the space and even being featured in cool ISS photographs shared with back here on earth. Check out details in the full article: http://3dprint.com/38955/3d-print-challenge-by-nasa/
