Can anyone suggest a good source for Polycarbonate filament (3mm)? I would prefer a place in the US to save on shipping costs. I am having the hardest time trying to find any, so any pointers would...
So far, they've raised a little over $9K on indiegogo. Not sure if they will be funded or not. They have another 20 days to reach their goal of $50,000. Here is their latest update video
Haven't...
Thanks, I'll have a look :)
This seems to be the new "fad" within 3D printing. People are starting to create their own custom support material, and I've seen quite a few designs that have come out a lot nicer. Have any of you...
If you are a MODO software user, MakerBot is offering a 10% discount off the purchase of a Replicator printer (5th generation). Not a bad deal at all.
They are giving away MakerBot printers at the show. :)

My question is why are they giving away a Replicator 2 rather than a 5th generation?
I thought this was interesting. MakerBot is at the AutoShow in NY with printed out car prototypes. Kinda a strange combination but they are there with this printout of the Toyota FT-1. I wonder if...
This is such a great idea. Do you plan on continuing to design more modules? This has astronomical potential!
I think it's going to be tough to find exactly what you are looking for.
There are filaments that are similar to Silicon though. Ninja Flex and FilaFlex both make a very flexible printer...
LOL. Are you sure it was safe to give to the baby?
I've heard nothing but good things about Filaflex, which surprises me. Most of the time there are bad reviews on products no matter how good...
I'm starting to think that they have given up. Haven't heard anything about them in a while...
Does anyone know what the price for the Copperhead printer will be? I'm really looking forward to seeing the Kickstarter campaign launch, and would love to know what I will have to pay to get one.
For those interested, when you order four or more large or 1 kg spools of MakerBot PLA or ABS Filament via their website you save 10%. I believe this sale is going on for the entire month of April....
Here is a new one I saw. http://pinshape.com/
I haven't really checked it out yet, but seems to be something similar to Shapeways.
Wow, that's pretty huge. What are you planning on printing?
I think this is a bit too pricey. Does it print in any metal or just some?
I like the idea of 4 extruders, but never really have a need for them. Why would you want more than 4? I don't really see any reasonable explanation.
I love how more and more scientist are using 3D Printing to do research.

Nice article. That's a ton of money for them to be spending on 3D Printing, but I think many industries will be moving toward 3D Printing in the coming years. I think GE has just gotten a head...
I would say it's probably the belt or cables. I'd check that before checking the motor.
I know Makerbot just released the latest and greatest of their line of 3D Printers. However, I'm wondering when they will release their next generation. How long has it been between the Replicator...
They weren't outshined because they weren't even at CES, were they? Different companies make announcements at different times. To say they were outshined, in my opinion is just ignorant... sorry.
Now there is no excuse why every school in America couldn't add an extra $1350 to their budget to get one of these in their classroom.
My guess is that Organova is using it as some sort of publicity stunt. Thing is, aren't they a publicly traded company? Would that be considered stock manipulation of some sorts, if they know they...
