It you want to be able use more filaments I would suggest a heated print bed and an all metal extruder.

I just pause the print, switch out the filament, then resume the print.

I've been using 123d design from Autodesk (free). It was easy for me to learn, and the latest version works great. The last version was not stable on my computer system.

I have a Blendtec and may have to try it.

I got a Bukobot Duo for Christmas. It arrived yesterday. I can't wait to be able to finish it.

My deciding factors:
Dual extruders. I'm really interested in disolvable support materials....

It's my understanding that it also keeps the temp up to allow the abs to cool more slowly and thus with less cracks.

I'm also wondering about ABS and nylon. Would enclosing the printer improve the results?

Does anyone have one? How has it been? Once dialed in... does it print consistently?

Thanks for the quick responses! I've been looking at the printrbot but I do have concerns about the wood. I don't trust plywood to not warp over time. I could see a damp weekend affecting print...
