I'm strongly considering purchasing a FlashForge Dreamer. Has anyone had the opportunity to use one of the final Dreamers yet? I know they released some beta versions a while back but I believe...
It amazes me how MakerBot can still sell printers for the prices they ask. With so many new 3D printers out there with really low prices, MakerBot must be relying on their name.
The staining looks to have worked pretty well. DrLuigi which 3D printer / extruder are you using?
Just thought I'd share. This is an amazing video showing how 3D Printing can and will be used even more in the future to make custom 'things'

Does New Matter have any plans to create additional 3D printers, such as printers with larger build volumes, perhaps multiple extruders, etc.? If you guys can keep prices down, I could see you being...
Can someone let me know if this Titan 1 3d printer is compatible with the new FireCast resin I've seen. If so this could be a dream come true for jewelry makers. A cheap SLA printer capable of...
I'm wondering what age / grade in school, 3d printers are appropriate for? My little one wants to try and convince his teachers that they need a 3D printer in their classroom. However, his friends...
It's that time of year.... my brother's birthday and I know he's been wanting a 3D printer really bad now for the past year or so. I have limited down what we are going to get him to a MakerBot...
I'm just trying to get some opinions on what features are still missing in typical CAD softwares that could make our lives a lot easier when it comes to 3D printing. I think it would be very useful...
This is my print, but it's been being posted a lot around social media sites. Apparently it is a Beta Test of Metafill Bronze Filament by Colorfabb. They then polished part of is (the shiney spot...
Very interesting. How many separate pieces are there?
I ask the question, "Why?"
This is a waste of filament in my opinion.
Thank you for making this such a great place to talk about 3D printing. Only wish you did it soon ;)
I feel like there should be some sort of 3D printing director that lists all the 3D printer companies, 3d printer filament companies, 3d printer part companies, 3d printing stores, shop, etc. ...
Found this video today on how to calibrate your 3D printer's extruder. I found it very informative. Has anyone ever done this, the same way as this guy?

See, the thing with a used 3D printer is that you know know how much wear and tear it's been through. Parts do go out on 3D Printers after time. I would say that if you can pay 50% off, go for a...
I'd think that the elementary schools might experiment by using the Mini's while middle and high school will probably go for the Replicators.
How easy are Printrbot's to assemble compared to most RepRaps?
Does anyone know if Markforged ships their printers to Asia? If so, how much more can I expect to pay?
Just saw this was released today. Pretty interesting results. They are from the Yeggi search engine. They index 3D designs from numerous websites around the net.

What do you guys suggest is the best way to smooth PLA, so that dirt and dust doesn't get stuck in it? I've been thinking that perhaps a clear coat of nail polish might work. Does anyone have any...

Just saw this video. Seems like google wants to help their users build 3D objects. I wonder if this means they are trying to wiggle their way into the 3D Design market. Check out the video below:...
While browsing Thingiverse this morning I'm finding that every 30 seconds or so the site stops loading and just loads a white page. Anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?
