I'd pick PETG from those two but I still feel ABS filament or Nylon filament would be better. They are less brittle and won't as easily crack or shatter if dropped or banged. They are a little harder...

Yea, I think that's some pretty good advice from @airscapes. I'd hate to see that print get 90% of the way through, lift and curl. A roll of plastic gone... Whatever you do, post back a few photos.
I think I'd probably suggest ABS or Nylon. Both are know for their impact resistence and for not being brittle. ABS is probably easier to print if you are doing it yourself. I'd also use more walls...
I hear you. I just gave mine to a guy who is excited about doing the same thing. It was a good printer and I used it a lot for a long time. About 3-years ago my "Itty Bitty" motor/head mount cracked....
Thanks for that info. I've purchased Bambu P1S and am thrilled with it. I donated my Makerfarm and a ton of 3mm filament to a High School. Everyone it happy how.
It sounds like moisture to me as well. I may have missed it but have you tired putting some cardboard or something around to create a simple enclosure? That used to help me print and stick a lot.

I went through the same thing. I've had my P1S for a month now and it's still blowing my mind. I printed some M4 threaded hex head bolts and the threads worked well. And that was with the .06 hotend....
I've been a Product Designer/3d Designer for over 20-years. Learning to build quality and accurate models has a pretty good learning curve but anyone who decides to make it a goal can learn it. It...
I have an aging MakerFarm printer that's about 6-years old and a lot of 3mm filament. The ABS extruder housing is cracked so the printer is down. I'm trying to find a modern printer that can swap out...
I"ve been using two other things to stick to the bed. First is two layers of Elmers Purple School Glue Stick. I put a layer down and the cross it with another. If that doesn't work I've had good luck...
I highly recommend Simplify3D. It's amazing and not too expensive.
I always assumed the rail version was more stable but I have no way to compare. I'm guessing the rail version is better though. I was planning to upgrade with the rail kit but never did. I bought...
Speaking of dusting off, I still have my Maker Farm 8" wood with rods printer still running. It has a dual IttyBitty print head but the printer still works great. I don't use it very often but dusted...
Larry, I'd like to welcome you to this forum. It's populated with some very, very gifted people. Do take advantage of them and you'll enjoy the journey.
Yea, I too wonder how many machines Colin has shipped. He's the best Customer Service on the planet. I wish my cable company was as nice...
45,000 downloads is a lot. Wow. Anything I've ever...
Thanks for this update. I still have the 8-inch rail version that I bought just prior to the release of the i3v. It's still working great and I use mine pretty much the same as you, now and then, and...
We have to keep it in perspective. I don't see that as a disadvantage. It's just what it is. We know that going in as with any tool, some do things that others don't. For instance, you can't say that...
Thanks for posting this. It's really interesting. Your findings are the opposite of what I've experienced which intrigues me. I need to examine my methods and see what might have led to that. I trust...
Well, maybe not being invented for decades but when I graduated design school in 1985 there was no such thing as a 3d printer to the common man. Maybe DARPA or Oar Ridge Labs were thinking about it,...
Yea, I couldn't agree more. Sure, 3d printers are fantastic and I'm so thrilled we have them. When I was in school getting my degree in Industrial Design, 3d printers were decades away from being...
We welcome forum freaks. We are all ones too.
Welcome, you'll enjoy it here and get a lot of good assistance. Happy printing.
I feel your pain. That's what forced me to going 'autolevel'. I'd spend hours leveling and then a week later it would be out again. Arrrggg, so it's a little tedious to set up, but I did the...
My issues with this come and go. Do you have autoleveling? I haven't determined the exact singular cause but I've found that being perfectly level (autoleveling solves this) in combination with no...
Really nice looking. Clean and excellent wire/cable management.
