I get clicking on my i3v if the idler is too loose. It's probably a step you already took but it's often overlooked. I'm glad you've resolved it, though.
I recently upgraded my first gen 8" i3 from MakerFarm to the i3v. The laser cut wood is all in good condition. The bed is a little warped but not terribly so. All threaded and smooth rods are in...

Meh it's the internet, people can and will say numerous things that don't make any sense. Doesn't really bother me :) My main point of the mini review is not to harm any entity, it was to point out...
You bet :( entire roll and only printed 3 small parts...
Not a plug, I'm not associated with them, just giving a mini review. Also why would I dirty up another company if their filament doesn't work for me but works for others? I use a 0.25mm nozzle with...
Went to Fry's Electronics today with some unrelated business when I happen to walk by a random isle and saw PLA written on a box, I doubled back and sure enough Fry's is now carrying ABS and PLA from...
A lot of these prebuilt printers print 'horribly' out of box and still need considerable calibration to produce acceptable prints. In my honest opinion, the higher priced models are a rip off and...

Hello, we have an ongoing thread about this very topic here, http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.php?1313-What-s-your-Longest-Print-Ever
Feel free to add to it :)
I print in PLA and I see myself using FDM and other plastics for the next decade plus. I'm not taking any chances so I leave my printer in a dedicated, fully ventilated (24-7) work room where I cast...

Yeah the v5 is really great. Aside from the shorter height of the v6, I honestly don't see much of a performance difference. I already run the 0.25mm nozzle and it's already so precise, no ooze even...
Huge headache or massively fun? I'm sure all your hard work will pay off :)
Now that is a thing of beauty. If I didn't have the v5, id go for it.

Been posted before. Cut the guy a break, English probably isn't his first language.
Yeah if you have a good budget like that, go SLA. A good FDM shouldn't cost more than $1.5k.
Same experience here, my sturdier prints are all 0.1mm or lower. I do think parameter (shell thickness) plays a bigger role though.
In the quote :)
LOL, haven't seen it yet but I want to!
Hello, welcome to the forum! Does your group have a website so we can learn more about this printer?
The use of any cartridge is a damn shame and slap in the face of what open source 3D printing used to be. I get it's basically there to squeeze every dime out of consumers, but it's still wrong in my...
