Meanwhile, I have solved my z-wobble.

The Geeetech Prusa I3 has a vertical brace for not only the two outer support rods, but also the vertical screws. I got my trusty dremel out and cut off the...

Well, I calibrated both the extruder and the Z axis, and it didnt get rid of the ripples - it simply centered them (so that the back is no longer smooth, and the ripples are the same depth on all...

But are they usually as horrific as that? I've seen other 3D prints with nearly as bad overhangs that didn't look like someone took steel wool to molten plastic.

I have a fan on this... it's the Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro C, with the dual extruders. It has a single fan on the front of the print head, but the back side is the only one with no 'ripple'. The...

    I've also tried temperatures of 180c, 195c, and 210c - identical results.

Edit: Except the 210 had even worse undercut artefacts, and the 180 also had really bad corner artefacts.

The ripple has happened at 0.1 and 0.12 heights, BTW. I tried Slic3r but it crashes every time I load a model (stl or obj). I also have tried Cura but I can't figger it out.

Well, I HAVE a fan on it, and it comes on in full after the initial layer. And by "nogo" I meant that it did not change the ripple effect by slowing down print speed - even all the way down to...
  8. Combination of rippled front / sides, significant artefacts on underhangs - help?

I have a Geeetech Prusa I3 "Pro" C (dual extruder), and have been having a print issue with both heads, which leads me to believe the issue may not be with the heads.

    This first picture...

Well, this is the end result. I have it slid onto the battery case of my e-cig (or 'mod' for those familiar with vaping slang) right here:

It's been ten days. Are there really no others on this forum willing to even say "Sorry, Maggie is right." at all? No suggestions? Nothing? Or is this forum simply that slow, something which I don't...

Ah, I kinda assumed that, but many of the designs I made were printed with no problem by Shapeways, but would be incredibly difficult to 'add support' to. Anyone else able to answer a cry for help?
  13. Question from a newbie about what printer I should get/

I hope this is in the right forum...

Okay, so I've had several ideas over the past few weeks for things that I could 3D print, and use on the tubular battery holders of e-cigarettes - not the...
