You cannot print directly onto sandpaper.

Tried it.....no adhesion at all.

Just wanting a flat finish instead of a glossy finish.
But I think sanding it will leave a powdery look?

Maybe I meant a "Satin" finish or like 1000 grit sandpaper without looking powdery?

The front and rear corner plastic supports for the X and Y axis chrome shafts split.

The right side (facing machine) Y axis rod is bent....need a new one.

The bearings are damaged it appears...

I'm leaning towards a power supply issue or Left Extruder hot end failing.

I "think" I found the source of all that noise....
This is one of the linear bearings on the side.
After adding a heavy viscosity oil (motor oil) to the rail, the noise suddenly was gone.

I got this printer from MonoPrice about 1.5 years ago and it started making this noise early on but it's gotten MUCH worse.
Does anyone know what the heck is causing this noise? I'm pretty sure...

Is 1,200 hours of run time a lot for a 3D printer power supply?

Is there any "average" length of time in hours of run time that a 3D printer power supply is likely to last?

Or is it totally unpredictable and totally random?

Could be the filament. It's been open for about 9 months (almost all used up now). But was stored in airtight containers with desiccant.

I took the entire dual extruder head out, thoroughly...

Follow up......

Completely disassembled both extruders.
Found very little debris in the gears but blew them out. Only a litle dust so I assume that was not the problem.

Removed the nozzles. ...

Over the last year my Flash Forge Creator X Clone has been doing great....until the last month. Now neither extruder is working.

It started with the left extruder. It was printing fine one day...
