I have never done my own filament but always wanted to out of water/coke bottles (PET IIRC).
I was looking at using something like;

Hello,
Please just do a single post, this a very close to becoming a spam thread.
Just do a single post and make it nice and well detailed and you will get a better response.
Also to visualise the printing itself.
Get GCODE simulator.
It's just a java applet/program and it runs on Windows/Linux/Mac/Android (no iOS).
You can cut the STL's and print away using this...
Hey,
If the extruder stops producing filament - it's generally just dirty or the gear has filament build up.
you may need to pull it out, remove the gear and clean it off.
This does happen...
thats brilliant. Cant wait to get hold of one.
Really nice!
I started a delta.. Stopped as 3 prints - Might pick it back up again now!
Thanks jaguarking11 !!
Up-Mini uses 190W if I recall... Repraps generally around 350-400w
The printed I used to print parts with is near flawless, so the printed parts are damn fine :D
My printer has most of the components added now, need to wire it up and fix a few things.
Still...

Updated my printer again today. Bigger image attached. RACKS!!

Currently about a...
UPDATES!!!!!!
All connected, motors, rods and extruder. Waiting for a few more parts but everything moves as it should. Strength is OK, but with the glass and line it will pull the rods together...
That sounds cool - I had an idea awhile back to use RJ45 (or similar) connectors and cut up cables as my servo connectors; This is the same?
Awesome!! :D

I got my favourite print - It's a thing I created; named him CHEG! - Print quality is nothing special (Poor ABS actually) but cool.
The other was a gift I made for my wife... White ABS and texters....
I decided I will test one part at a time.
Using standard nuts/bolts.
Printed bearings (very good).
I reprinted all of my rods again last-night vertically/standing as this had increased there...
We need a 'thanks' button in here :)
Do you have a link for this stacked cube? I didnt find it (ctrl+f "stacked") on the calibration page.
Besides making sure belts are all tight and everything is spaced right (nuts/bolts);
My first print when testing anything is 20mm cube - Hollow or solid.
I do this whenever I build or tweak a...
Will do! Got all rods printed, might reprint again soon.
This may fail - I'm printed in 100mm lengths and using acetone to glue/fuse them together. No breakage yet!
(Only printing on an UP!...
HAHAHA! :)
Thats my theory with the blender, wife says no - So now I just dump the failed prints into acetone and make glue.
I think my ABS rods are too weak. I printed them with the layers going...
Just going to start this as a place holder...
I've started building another Smartrap.
Fist was just a yellow PLA model which I sold the next day ().
Printed out a smartrap kit in orange,...
What are you building? Is this a Peachy or a homemade version?
I heard Green makes things faster or what that awesomeness? :S
(JohnA: Whats "Cupcake"?)
Yep! Had this same issue with my i2. Print over to the sides it will hit!
I always had to make sure I position prints right...
