AddSub Manufacturing Launched by STAR Prototype

AddSub Manufacturing is the latest offering from British-owned rapid manufacturer STAR Prototype, and it's a process which combines metal 3D printing and 5-axis CNC machining to deliver complex, low-volume components. Based in Guandong Province, China, STAR Prototype says they developed the service after identifying “a significant demand for a one-stop-shop for such components.” They say as most metal 3D printed parts are not used as prototypes but are instead the result of low-volume manufactured end use components, secondary machining is often required to finish them. AddSub Manufacturing is a groundbreaking system which allows parts to be transferred directly from 3D printing machines onto CNC machines without the need to remove them from the build plate. Star prototype is a great company. I also once seek for a Chinese rapid prototyping company and Boyi-prototype in Guangdong is professional.

there are two local companies I've driven past recently called STAR.
I think one is the old printer manufacturer - back when dot matrix was new technology, great machines and cheap - the logo looks the same anyway.
Wonder if the other is these guys.
