3D Printing an Assistive Device for Disabled Man

Eighth grade students at Swanson Middle School in Arlington, VA, have used 3D printers, and Autodesk's Fusion 360 software to create an assistive device for a disabled man. The device which they created was one which would allow for the man to reach his touchscreen attached to his motorized chair. Thanks to the 8th graders and a pretty good teacher, the man is now able to comfortably operate the screen as you will see in the image below. This is a great way to get the creative juices of students flowing, to use their education for something meaningful.
