Joris Laarman Lab Produces 3D Printed Aluminum Gradient Chair

The Joris Laarman Lab is making 3D printing headlines again with its 3D Printed "Aluminum Gradient Chair," a piece created using direct laser sintering of aluminum into a series of microstructures that are built up to create the final form. The chair made its debut at the Friedman Benda Gallery in New York and is now part of the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Victoria and the Vitra Design Museum.
