Japan's KDDI Launches Smartphone Case Design Tool for 3D Printed Cases

One of Japan's largest smartphone carriers, KDDI has just announced the launch of a 3D printed smartphone case design tool. Any users on the carier in Japan can login and immediately begin creating a customized smartphone case for a variety of different phone models. Priced around $34 to have these cases printed and shipped, this seems like a pretty good idea. There are already 80 pre-made designs which can be customized using the tool in a matter of minutes.
