CR-10 v3 bed temp 152 at power up

Im looking at fixing my daughters Cr-10 v3 printer
the bed indicates 152C on power up....
replaced thermistor reading 17k ohms.. verified other new thermistor same reading..
wiring to controler indicates 17K when unpluged from controler but 398ohms when pluged in and 398 when reading on board directly.
so i asuming the controler has a issue. i cant find a creality V2.5.2 controler thats on it anywhere.
So i believe a controler replacement is recommended...question is which one?
any sugestion of a controler that will work well with current setup?
is tmc2209 better than tmc2208 was thinking at installing a bigtreetech board but not sure which one and do i need to change the original display if i do.
