University of Alabama Students and Northrop Grumman Discuss Drones and Security

Students in a senior design seminar at the University of Alabama Huntsville are participating in a collaborative class project in conjunction with Northrop Grumman Corp to address a real world problem: short of shooting it down, how is it possible to prevent a drone from entering a protected area? The project has brought together students and faculty from diverse backgrounds to address the challenge and there are hopes that an ongoing relationship might allow for the offering of challenges such as this one to students in the future.
